| A New
Global Video production, this documentary tells the story of the
Venezuelan people. Another World is Possible shows the level of political
consciousness that the Venezuelan people have achieved and their determination
to defend their democracy, justice and peace. The video was made between October second and the eleventh in 2002 and it feeds from other fifty materials such as interviews, images and videos from Venezuelan media-activists. The mass media in Venezuela manipulates the information that reaches us, so this film is an effort to break the blockade of information. "Another World is Possible" tells the story of a diverse but possible world that exists in the struggle of the Venezuelan people. |

| How can a president come back after a successful coup d'etat? How can a government endure four general strikes, the last of which lasted for sixty days? How can a government survive a complete shutdown of the oil industry that provides for 80% of its total income? Are populism and revolution a dichotomy? How do we understand democracy and development? How is the economic globalization process impacting the shape and character of our societies? What is really happening in Venezuela? Dozthor Zurlent, a Venezuelan and member of the Bolivarian Circle "Amada Libertad," will not only answer these and other questions but will present a very unique perspective about the Venezuelan situation. Free and open to the public. | |||||
